Odświeżam temat, chociaż brak oficjalnych dowodów na wyższość niemieckiego wydania, to dochodzą kolejni świadkowie:

Interesting... very interesting.
If you want your HDR 'zing', your eye-candy fix, the German Universum disc will certainly accommodate you.
brainofJ72 described it almost perfectly.
It's brighter, punchier, and heavier on the contrast.
It is an exquisite looking disc, with a dimensionality, that's seemingly absent from the Lionsgate release.
That was comparing them both in standard HDR10, since the Universum disc does not have Dolby Vision. Switching between various different Dolby Vision settings on my TV, I could not get the Lionsgate to replicate the appearance of the German disc.
Even the Dolby Vision Home mode on my CX, which does punch up the brightness, could not achieve this.
However, if you decide to view the German disc with Dolby Vision forced, this brings it very close to mirroring the Lionsgate disc. It completely clips the highlights, giving the same subdued look to the HDR.
Now, I have to state that I still really like the Lionsgate disc. I always have.
It may be more subdued in the HDR department, but it's still a gorgeous presentation.
Which one is correct?
No idea, (I do know that Luc Besson is a dirty old man...), but both are there for your perusal. If you thought that Valerian should have been some HDR demo piece, you can now get your fix.
The German UHD disc is very English friendly, with no localised titles or onscreen text. It's all in English, (I didn’t check all of the German BD, after seeing the German title card appear).
Even the limited alien dialogue is subtitled in English, when you select the English Dolby Atmos track.
Those subs are player generated, unlike the Lionsgate disc, (which look player generated, oddly enough), and largely appear in the bottom letterbox bar:

The caveat is that the Universum release is lacking in extras:

That's your lot and they're nearly all in 1080/50p, on the included BD.
The UHD has no extras.

Yup the German 4k looks great, brighter colors and punchier. It's very pleasing and this is not encoded in the wrong color space as someone mentioned as the colors look fantastic.
